We opened our clinic because we realized that we were just as interested in what promotes wellness as in what causes sickness.
Fundamental to our philosophy is that we no longer want to see segregation but integration of modern medical practices with complementary and alternative approaches to health care. We want to put our energy into cooperation between our amazing ranges of disciplines to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients. Wellness Medicine has pulled together a multidisciplinary team that is committed to offering an optimal blend of health care to fit individual needs.
We accomplish this in several ways:
- We are accredited Family Medical practice providing primary health care, which includes sophisticated diagnostic techniques that ensure that any serious problems are detected.
- We have chosen highly skilled and dedicated practitioners, combining Naturopathy, Osteopathy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Japanese Acupuncture, which stand alongside our high quality General Practice.
- Our practitioners have regular meetings to discuss clinical protocols and the management of specific clinical problems. This way we develop an understanding for the different perspectives of the various disciplines. This translates into being able to provide the most appropriate and suitable treatment for each individual.
- Our practitioners are constantly updating their professional skills and our doctors strive to keep up with the best of modern Western medicine as well as staying informed about developments in natural and preventative therapies.
- As well as educating ourselves as clinicians, we also place a strong emphasis on imparting knowledge to out patients. This also serves to promote a sense of empowerment and support to the effort that is necessary to ensure ongoing health and wellness.
The greatest reward for us is to see our patients restored to a better state of health and wellbeing and more able to live a full, vital life.
At Wellness Medicine our core value is respect: for the different perspectives of health practice, for our patients needs and choices, and respect for their right to be well.
